Privacy Policy
Effective July 22, 2026
ReelFresh (“ReelFresh,” “we,” “us”) is a community where fishermen share what the water means to them on the Tribe Logbook. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple because we collect very little.
Information we collect
What you give us. When you submit a story, you provide your first name, your U.S. state, your email address, and your story. You may optionally add your home water, years fishing, the species you chase, and a few card-style touches (handwriting, ink color, margin marks, and the time of day you fish).
What we collect automatically. To keep out spam and limit abuse, we store a one-way hashed version of your IP address, not your actual IP, and nothing we use to personally identify you. We also process the basic technical information any website needs to load pages for you.
Cookies & tracking. ReelFresh does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking or analytics that follow you around the web. The site uses only what it needs to function.
How we use your information
- To publish your story on the Tribe Logbook if a real person reviews and approves it.
- To send you the two emails tied to your submission: a confirmation that we received it, and, once approved, a welcome with your permanent entry number and your card link.
- To review and moderate submissions for safety and quality.
- To feature your card on ReelFresh’s own pages and social channels, and you agree to this when you submit your story.
- To prevent spam, abuse, and misuse of the Logbook.
What’s public and what stays private
If your story is approved, what appears publicly on the Tribe Logbook is your first name, state, story, any optional card details you chose to share, your entry number, and your card’s link. Your email address is never shown publicly. It is used only to send you the emails described above.
Emails, not a mailing list
We only send messages tied to your own submission. ReelFresh is not a newsletter or marketing list. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and we honor it. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending you messages.
Service providers
We rely on a few trusted providers to run the site, and they process information on our behalf under their own terms and security practices: Supabase (database and storage), Vercel (website hosting), and Resend (email delivery). We also use automated content-moderation tooling (such as OpenAI’s moderation service) to help screen submissions for safety. We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep submissions for as long as needed to run the Tribe Logbook. You can ask us to remove your entry or your information at any time, using the Remove this card link on your card page or by emailing us at the address below.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the one-click link in any message.
- Access, correct, or delete your information by emailing admin@reel-fresh-co.com. We’ll respond within a reasonable time.
- Depending on where you live (for example, California, or the EU/UK), you may have additional privacy rights. Contact us and we will honor the rights that apply to you.
Age
ReelFresh is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and restricted access to submissions. No method of storage or transmission is ever 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Effective” date at the top of this page.
